Hello all you beautiful souls!

It's been a while since my last post and I have to say that I am so excited to share more recipes with you! I have quite a few that I've come up with the past couple months and They are definitely delicious! (and of course nutritious)

One recipe that I thought I should share with all of you is my favorite go to- pick me up smoothie recipe that always delivers on energy and health. It's also very simple to prepare once you have all the ingredients, so even if you have to rush off to work or run after your energetic children, you will still have time to fuel your body with nutrient dense foods that will set you up for success!

Detoxing is a function our body does on a daily basis, your skin, liver, kidneys, lungs, and colon are at this very moment working to rid your body of any chemical, fungal, or bacterial toxins you may have encountered throughout your day, moving them through your circulatory system and out of the body as sweat and waste . We have amazing bodies that are working FOR us every minute of the day! And the foods we eat help to support our body and keep it running efficiently like well programmed computer. Whole plant foods have all kinds of different constituents that support our many detoxing organs and help them to perform their functions at their highest potential! So this smoothie should have you running like a super computer!

Antioxidants and brain boosting support from wild blueberries, heavy metal detoxing support from fresh cilantro and energy boosting support from banana and spirulina. I hope you try out this smoothie and make it a regular part of your routine so you too can feel the amazing benefits that these foods provide!

I also wanted to share my favorite go-to vegan protein powder with all of you!

The Garden of Life company does such an amazing job with the creation of their vegan proteins and it's the #1 protein that I use and show to all the customers that ask me what protein I would recommend. I am in no way affiliated with Garden of Life, but i can honestly say that i trust their products and am very impressed.

They sprout all the grains and legumes they use for their protein blends which makes them super easy for your body to digest ( meaning better absorption) and in most of their proteins they also use juiced greens powders which add tons of micro-nutrients in a more concentrated form than if they were just dried and powdered. On top of all that they are also certified organic and non-gmo!

on to the recipe!

Ingredients

1 Banana

1 tsp. Hawaiian Spirulina

1 C Raw Spinach Leaves

1/2 C Raw Cilantro

1/4 C Frozen Wild Blueberries

1 Scoop plant based protein ( not NEEDED, but adds good flavor)

1-2 C Water or Plant Milk

Directions

1. Add frozen banana and blueberries to the bottom of the blender first, then greens, milk, protein and spirulina.

2. blend and enjoy a boost of energy and gentle detoxification!

Have a blessed day!

Love & Light
